Cassini Scientist for a Day
EUROPLANET RI is supporting NASA's Cassini Scientist for a Day competition. Cassini Scientist for a Day is an essay contest designed to give students a taste of life as a scientist. Students study three possible targets that the Cassini spacecraft can image during a given time set aside for education. They are to choose the one image they think will yield the best science results and explain their reasons in an essay. To celebrate the International Year of Astronomy, this 8th edition of the contest is open to all nations and educational organisations.
The next edition of the contest will start in September 2010.
Details will be published on this website at the end of August.
The targets are:
- Saturn
- Tethys and Rings
- Titan
